We love when everyone gets involved and does absolutely everything they can to win points. This video is taken from our music round, teams where challenged to name the song from listening to a piece of music. The team that answered first got the opportunity to win more points by doing the dance that matched the song. This team absolutely smashed it and even got other teams to join in too!

Speed Quizzing

The SpeedQuizzing system has changed the way people today approach quiz events, but more specifically it has enabled the table quiz to evolve into something new. It's rapid fire, chaotic and completely eliminates the boring downtime of old school quiz nights.

Instead of pen and paper, teams use tablets or smartphones to lock in answers in real time. The live leaderboard updates instantly on screen after every single question, meaning the tension stays high and you know exactly where you stand against the competition.

SpeedQuizzing’s quiz game software heralds a new age of high-energy smartphone pub quizzing where the fast-paced game style takes trivia nights to new heights while ensuring it is impossible to cheat.

My whole ethos is around having a bit of craic and running a slick, quick, competitive quiz.

Location

We are based in Holywood, County Down and can host events throughout Northern Ireland.

We can host quiz nights in pubs, clubs and entertainment venues and also cater for one off quiz events for private, charity or corporate entertainment. We can supply sound system, leaderboards, tablets etc and can look after all promotional items including posters and table cards.

Questions, picture rounds, music rounds and the all important buzzer rounds can all be tailored and personalised to your audience.

How does it work?

The same as with a pen and paper pub quiz….

◾Questions are read out loud.

◾Quiz teams sit around a table and aim to answer as many questions as possible.

◾Questions are asked in rounds, with breaks in-between to allow for drinks etc.

◾Teams socialise, drink, debate answers, laugh, joke, brag, and enjoy banter with other teams.

Unlike a pen and paper pub quiz….

◾ The quizzers use a device with the free SpeedQuizzing app. Then link to the hosts dedicated quiz router and await further instruction.

◾Answers are inputted via the tablet or smart phone

◾Rather than having an unspecified amount of time to write an answer down, teams are given a time-limit (sometimes as short as 10 seconds) during which time they have to decide on an answer and input it using the keypad on their device screen. This gives players considerably less time to attempt to cheat!

◾Generally answers are submitted by a single tap on the device screen. IE. first letter of the answer, or multiple-choice (A.B.C.D etc).

◾Points are awarded for the correct answer and also to the team which answers first.

◾Picture Questions are also done using a time limit, for example, teams might be given 20 seconds to put a name to a face displayed on their device-screen.

◾Scoring is taken care of automatically by the laptop with the leader-board being updated instantly.

◾Unlike a traditional pub-quiz the answers are revealed immediately after each question, causing increased social interaction between team-members as well as maximum banter between competing teams.

We can provide entertainment which is fully tailored to your event and audience. Some corporate quiz highlights where at White's for PWC, Lavery's for Tetra Tech and Royal Northern Ireland Yacht Club who partnered with Davy.

What sort of events do you cater for?

Speed Quizzes are the perfect addition to any event. Including:

Corporate events, Speed Quizzes are a great source of team bonding and a fun night that the team will be talking about for weeks.
Birthday parties, we can personalise questions to make your event extra special.
Charity events, we offer special rates and people are encouraged to donate as they play for a purpose.
Recurring events at pubs & clubs, Speed Quizzes attract recurring customers and make your pub the talk of the town. These are usually in partnership with Speed Quizzing NI.

What services do we offer?

Most of our quizzes last 2 hours including a couple of rounds of general knowledge, a music round, a picture round, a chase the leader round and some other rounds that you can chose or we will chose. We can get through at least 120 questions done in the 2 hours.

How much do you charge for a quiz?

The price really depends on the location, day of the week, type of quiz etc. If you use the contact us link down below Michael will get back to you on pricing within 48hrs.
